The Claretian University of Nigeria (CUN) has once again made history in its mission to be a trailblazer in Transnational Education (TNE) in Nigeria.

On Wednesday, 10 September 2025, Rev. Professor Wenceslaus Madu, CMF, Vice-Chancellor of Claretian University of Nigeria, and Professor Anthony McClaran, Vice-Chancellor of St Mary’s University, Twickenham, London, formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at St Mary’s University’s London campus.

This strategic partnership brings together two universities deeply rooted in Catholic faith, teaching, and tradition, and committed to excellence in higher education. The MoU will foster a wide range of collaborative initiatives, including:

  • Joint postgraduate educational programmes
  • Bespoke Business and Computer Science Summer Schools in London
  • Staff and student exchange opportunities
  • Other mutually beneficial academic and cultural collaborations

These initiatives are designed to expand opportunities for Nigerian students, offering them international exposure and access to high-quality education while strengthening academic ties between the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
