The Claretian University Community was a beehive of activities on Friday the 2nd of May 2025 as the Institution held her 4th Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025 Academic Session.
The event which took place at CUN's pavilion, began with the Holy Mass celebrated by the Vice Chancellor, Very Rev Fr. Professor Wenceslaus Madu in company of the Representative of the University's Proprietor and Vicar of Claretian Missionaries, East Nigeria Province, Very Rev. Fr. Stanislaus Ekwujuru and other priests. Also present at the Mass were the Matriculants, Management, Staff and Students of the University as well as parents, guardians and well wishers of the Matriculants.
In his Matriculation address, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Wenceslaus Madu, appreciated the parents and guardians of the Matriculating Students for making the right decision of sending their wards to CUN. He advised the Matriculants to be serious with their academics. "Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in your lives as you pursue this ambition in our reputable, respected and specialized institution. Your matriculation today, signifies the right step towards the actualization of that noble ambition for qualitative education which will help create economic prosperity for yourself, your family and the Nigerian nation in general," the University don added.
Dignitaries at the event were thrilled with the Abigbo cultural dance performance by some students of the Philosophy department who are also senior Seminarians from the Claretian Missionaries. The highlight of the occasion was the Matriculation oath-taking administered on the 215 Matriculants by the Registrar, Very Rev Fr. Dr. John Ezenwankwor.
