On Monday the 4th of December, 2023, a twelve-member accreditation team from the National Universities Commission NUC, Abuja, commenced accreditation visit to Claretian University of Nigeria, CUN Nekede Owerri Imo State.
In his welcome remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Rev. Fr. Professor Wenceslaus Madu thanked NUC for the visit. He expressed optimism about the growth potentials of the University who is barely three years old with seven schools to be assessed by NUC.
The VC equally called on NUC to come to the assistance of the University in the area of admission, because since inception, admission of students into the University has been solely at the mercy of the Institution.

After the initial welcome formalities, the team began their job by dispersing into different groups meant for the various schools.
The visit is expected to last two days.
