The old and popular saying that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step, came to limelight some years ago when Fr. Anthony Agugo defied the odds of his tight missionary work and ventured into the journey of academics.
Despite the time constraints, mental and physical exhaustion involved in this journey which many people described as “Adult education,” Fr. Tony never wavered until the 5th of September, 2023, when he defended his Doctoral dissertation at Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Consequent upon this defense, he was formally proclaimed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration by the Authorities of this noble University.
