NURSING COUNCIL CONCLUDES ACCREDITATION VISIT TO CLARETIAN UNIVERSITY'S ICT CENTER

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has successfully concluded its accreditation visit to Claretian University of Nigeria (CUN), to assess the university’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre in its capacity to conduct computer based professional examinations. 

Members of the delegation led by the Zonal Coordinator of Nursing Services, Mrs. Njoku-Chinedu Nneka Jane were taken round the ICT facility, by the top management team of the University. The team spent several hours assessing University’s ICT resources, digital infrastructure, and the readiness of the institution to conduct professional examinations and other Computer-based activities within the nursing department. The team also met with the Vice Chancellor, Rev Fr Prof. Wenceslaus Madu, and gave him feedback on their visit. The VC promised to do all it will take to put the ICT centre in the best way as recommended.

At the end of the visit, the Council expressed satisfaction with the university’s efforts to align its ICT resources with global best practices. The Director of Nursing Services in Imo State, Aranusi Ucheamaka Mary expressed optimism that approval of CUN's ICT centre for the conduct of Computer based professional examinations will certainly boost the Nursing department and health care services in general. She advised the department to continue with their enviable trajectory of growth

With the NMCN’s approval of CUN’s ICT center for Computer based professional examinations, the University is poised to remain at the forefront of academic excellence, bridging the gap between technology and healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
