The Nigerian society of today is rippled with myriad of problems. There is widespread culture of inattentiveness and lack of deeper comprehension of basic issues necessary for the construction of a functioning society. Personal and social values are at haywire and the sense of pragmatic control of the structures of art and science of development are lacking too. This is why we lack productive personnel and progressive politics, where citizens are equipped to run and make their lives worth
living. This syndrome of poor routine existentiality is in want of insight, creativity and authenticity. This is why barrage of theories for a better society has been proffered by well meaning scholars and elites. In this light, therefore, this work intends to engage some of the existential issues facing Nigeria with a philosophical option, which is an effort for a better Nigeria. It will do this, using inspirations from the philosophical reflections of Bernard Lonergan.
