The Bursary Unit

Welcome to CUN Bursary Unit

The Bursary unit at Claretian University of Nigeria is saddled with the following responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the university.
  2. Maintains student’s financial service payments record for all fees to ensure credibility and accuracy.
  3. Manage annual budgets.
  4. Prepares expense report.
  5. Plans and develop strategies for generating resources or revenues for the university.
  6. Ensuring that surplus funds are invested and manged properly.
  7. Provides periodic reports of receipts and technical information to the university and to external funding agencies.
  8. Interacts with internal and external auditors participating in auditing projects and provides information and access to accounting records required.  At CUN, the bursary unit is headed by a Bursar who is the Chief Executive Financial Officer of the university whose function is to record and advice the Vice Chancellor on day-to-day financial issues, relate with auditors and other supervising agents on financial matters.
