CUN CONCLUDES FIRST ACADEMIC SESSION

The 2021/2022 Academic year in Nigeria witnessed the birth of Claretian University of Nigeria, Owerri, Imo State. With over 70 pioneer and vibrant students from different departments, the University began its first ever academic session with vigour and freshness.

The Lecturers were expectedly punctual to lectures. The students who were filled with burning zeal to learn were always seated in classes on time. Non-academic Staff of the University were never found wanting in their respective duties.

Little wonder, before the end of this session, CUN celebrated it’s one-year anniversary in grand style. This event attracted creme de la creme in the society including professors both serving and retired, technocrats, businessmen, and other friends of CUN.

This heralded the maiden matriculation ceremony of these pioneer students which is an authentication of their studentship in the University with the signing of the matriculation register.

The Academic session then ended with the second-semester examinations conducted from the 13th of June to the 1st of July, 2022. Before the close of the session, the Registrar, Rev. Fr. Dr. John Ezenwankwor held an interactive session with the students.

They expressed gratitude to God and CUN management for the opportunity to study in this great citadel of learning. They resolved to work hard in their studies so as to acquire sound knowledge and achieve good grades.

The Registrar then advised the students to be of conduct and be good ambassadors of CUN wherever they may be, by imbibing CUN’s core values of discipline, diligence, obedience to those in authority as well as strict adherence to rules and regulations.

Registration and admission of new students are ongoing. The old students are expected back on campus on the 29th of September, 2022, for the new academic session.

CUN wishes her students a happy holiday.
