On Saturday the 30th of November, 2024, the Claretian University of Nigeria, in Collaboration with International Institute for Research, Tourism, University Collaboration Foundation Inc. (IIRTUCF), held a Seminar on organic food safety and security, meant to showcase and retest a groundbreaking tangible research titled: 'Tele Food Trust fund Model' in the areas of Agriculture, Engineering and High Tech.
In his welcome speech, the host and Vice Chancellor of the University, Rev. Fr. Professor Wenceslous Madu, expressed unreserved appreciation to the Initiator and founder of the project, Professor Agnes Onyeagba, and her team for such a novel initiative, which will not only bring food on the table of many people, but also create an opportunity for people to be self employed. He noted that Claretian University would work out the necessary modalities with the entrepreneurship department of the Institution to fully queue into the program.
The Founder, Professor Agnes Onyeagba explained optimism that when the project begins fully, the University would be able to feed her immediate community and even beyond; her staff and students would also leverage on the numerous international collaborations with the Foundation to drive this project.
The nanogenarian told students to begin to nurse the idea of owning a chicken while in school. She encouraged them to brace up for the project because of its numerous benefits. She noted that her Foundation has got all the patent rights from relevant national and international organizations, including International Trade Development Centre, ILO, amongst others.
Different speakers re-choed the need for people to eat organic food which IIRTUCF promotes for a healthy living as against Genetically modified food. They described Professor Onyeagba as retired but not tired and thanked her for such a great project.

Dignitaries at Occasion included the permanent Secretary of Imo State Ministry of Agriculture, the former member of Imo State House of Assembly, Honorable Dr. Uche Oguwuike, stakeholders in the Agric sector, members of the Academia, the Clergy, amongst others.
